Miss Cheri, Headmistress
My “job” is the best because I laugh almost all the time, I hardly ever sit down, and I’m surrounded by people I love. I have been at St. Mark’s “almost forever” and love seeing all “my children” grow and prosper! I’m the proud mom and “Kiki” of 4 graduates and 3 “currents.”
I love that I have been able to contribute to our little ones getting ready for big school for the last 18 years. I am a proud mom of two St. Mark’s graduates.
St. Mark’s has been my happy place for 12 plus years. I took a sabbatical but couldn’t stay away! It is such a treasure to watch each child grow and mature. I am a proud Momma of three St. Mark’s graduates!!
Wow, this is my 28th year to be at St. Mark’s. That must mean I’m really happy to be here! I have fabulous teacher friends and a fabulous boss! I think working with three and four years olds is great fun and it keeps me on my toes! My own two children attended St. Mark’s, and I think they turned out pretty swell; and now I have two grandchildren here which is such a treat for me! I feel very lucky to be here!
I am truly blessed to be able to say that I have a job that I LOVE! Yes, for the past 17 years, St. Mark’s has been my happy place and my second family. I am the proud Mama of two St. Mark’s graduates and they still say, “There is no place like St. Mark’s!”
I’ve had the good fortune of teaching precious children from wonderful parents and working (more like playing) with amazing women, who are like sisters to me, for more than 25 years. This is such a fun place to be, filled with lots of love, laughter, and happy memories. I have two daughters that graduated from St. Mark’s and look forward to my grandbabies that will be coming here as well…and the circle continues!
I have enjoyed 18 years, so far, at St Mark’s Day School. I have two children that are graduates, and I hope my grandchildren will follow! The precious children who attend St. Mark’s and my dear friends I work with are the secrets to this special place. I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
My St. Mark’s experience began 18 years ago when my oldest was a student of Miss Sue Powell. My oldest has since graduated from college…but me…I’m still trying to get my fill of St. Mark’s. My personal 4 kiddos have such fond memories of this place & I want to make those happy memories for my class & classes to come!
I’m a fortunate teacher of the four year olds here. My favorite thing about teaching at St. Mark’s is the love that radiates through the halls of our small school. It is an amazing feeling that embraces you when you walk through the doors each morning. I am very blessed to be a part of St. Mark’s Day School.
My name is Kristen Braunfisch. I have two children that attended at St. Mark’s. I love the St. Mark’s Day School so much that when my youngest child graduated, I began working here!
Two years olds see a world full of wonder and excitement. I see the staff at St. Mark’s as part of my family and why I’ve been teaching here for over 30 years!
It has been a great privilege to work at St. Mark’s for the past 12 years! Both of my daughters are graduates of St. Mark’s. I would have to say the greatest thing about our precious school is the sense of family that envelops the staff and every child and parent here. It is such a happy place to be!
Miss Carol (Music)
I love St. Mark’s school because the teachers are amazing and I love learning from them. I love our parents because they are so supportive in all of our projects in school and the community. We have sweet children who come to school happy because of the parents and teachers who take time to give it that extra mile. I am blessed to be the music teacher at St. Mark’s.
Miss Joanne (Aftercare)
I grew up in a small town outside of New York City. My family and I moved to Little Rock in 1980 and our family has truly embraced the South and all its traditions. I have three grown children living in Dallas and Houston. I have been married to my rescue husband Steve for 34 years! After a long and successful career as a RN at St. Vincents Medical Center, this new adventure at St. Marks is truly a change of pace and it is a delight to work with these precious children.
